Why life insurance is Important

Image
Insurance can be confusing and it’s hard to know what you really need or want. But here are five very good reasons why you need life insurance. As we grow older, get married, build families and start businesses, we come to realize more and more that life insurance is a fundamental part of having a sound financial plan. Depending on your type of policy, life insurance is fairly cheap, which means there’s no excuse not to get coverage now. Plus, over the years, you’ll find comfort in knowing money will be available to protect your loved ones in the event of your passing. Here are a few other reasons why having life insurance is important. TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY AND LOVED ONES If your loved ones depend on your financial support for their livelihood, then life insurance is a must, because it replaces your income when you die. This is especially important for parents of young children or adults who would find it difficult to sustain their standard of living if they no longer had acce...

My Guide to Eating Out in Gwalior - By Amit Patnaik

Image
Gwalior - a city whose fate passed from one dynasty to another through the ages - from the Tomars through the Mughals to the present-day monarch-turned politicians, the Scindias. The influence of this historical game of thrones is as vividly visible on it’s food as it is on the walls of it’s imposing fortress. While the typical artery-clogging staples of the Northern Plains - Bedai, Boondi Ladoo and Kachoris vindicate its geographic location, the ubiquitous carts peddling Poha, Dabeli and even Vada Pao attest to the Maratha heritage of its last monarchs. Dining out in Gwalior would be incomplete without hogging on rich Mughlai Qormas and Kebabs at some of its old school restaurants like Kwality and Volga.  After arriving in the region for an official assignment last winter (here’s  how ), I soon took a liking to Gwalior. As the mustard fields turned from green to a sea of yellow, finally withering away into the dust, my days in the city led to an evolution of my own...

Indian Daughter Speaks - By Esha Tewari Pande

Image
From last few weeks, the movie ‘India's Daughter’ has been a point of discussion everywhere. The movie is about a rape that happened in Delhi in 2012. It quickly became a controversy where some people believe that the movie should be banned; the other ones believe that it shouldn’t.  Indian Government banned it and justified the ban by saying they are concerned by the remarks made in the film by one of the rapists, Mukesh Singh - who is on death row and of course other political legal /illegal issues associated with Flim which is still a controversy. People who are in favor of ban are saying that the movie reflects a wrong image of India and will impact India's tourism. Just like Indian government, they believe that a rapist’s point of view should not be publicized like this.  I watched many debates where people are discussing about what the rapist said in the movie and why this should be banned. So I have a few questions for Indian government and the people who ...

Retracing Nathuram Godses journey in a House of Gwalior.

Image
By the time Narayan Apte and Nathuram Godse returned to Delhi on January 27 for the second and final attempt on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, the equation between the two had changed. The man who had followed the lead of his more assertive partner had decided he would be the one to kill Gandhi. They take a train from Old Delhi Railway Station to Gwalior. They are in search of a weapon. The trail now leads to Vivekananda Colony, Phalka Bazaar, Gwalior. Here lives the son of the man who is believed to have arranged the 9 mm Beretta pistol, manufactured in Italy in 1934, with which Gandhi was shot dead. In 1935, Dattatreya Sadashiv Parchure started a branch of the Hindu Mahasabha in the princely state of Gwalior. He was also a leader of its militant offshoot, the Hindu Rashtra Dal, and, as a corollary, a fierce opponent of the Congress. - See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/retracing-godses-journey-in-gwalior-house-son-lives-with-a-locked-secret/9...
